From Ramsey
Leave Ramsey on the A9 North.
After passing the church at Andreas, continue straight ahead.
Where the road turns sharply left, and there is a private road to the right. Take the private road towards the airfield.
Beyond the trees, there is a gate marked Andreas Flying Club on the left.
Switch on your hazard warning lights, open the gate and enter the airfield. Please remember to close the gate.
Follow the "Airfield Layout" directions below.
From South and West
Follow the TT course north until Sulby Bridge.
Turn left at Sulby Bridge and proceed to the St. Judes crossroads.
Continue straight ahead until Andreas Village.
Turn left at the village clock, just after the village shop.
Continue ahead, then turn right at the roundabout.
After 250 metres the road turns sharply right, and there is a private road to the left. Take the private road towards the airfield.

Once at the airfield
From the access road, enter the airfield at the gate marked "Airfield Entrance" (Red route on map).
Continue around the track till you find the club hangar. This is the second hangar on the track.
Should flying operations have already commenced you will need to drive to the launch point.
If the Launch Point Vehicle (LPV) is at LP11, Lookout for aircraft landing on runway 11, then proceed carefully down the runway to the parking area. Stay as close to the side of the runway as possible.
If the Winch is on the runway at the point marked 11 on the diagram, wait until the winch is not operating and ask the winch driver for directions.
After 250 metres the road turns sharply right, and there is a private road to the left. Take the private road towards the airfield.
Should neither the Winch or Launch Point be located on the first runway, the second runway (05-24) will be in use. Proceed carefully down runway 11-29 staying as close to the edge as possible. Other aircaft may use this runway so keep a good lookout.
If the Launch Point vehicle is located at LP24, park in the location marked with the red circle on the diagram.
Finally, you may need to drive to LP06. Stay very close to the right (west) side of the runway, and use your headlights. Do not cross the runway until beyond the launch point vehicle and always be sure there are no aircraft either landing or taxying on the runway.
If unsure, visitors should contact a club member beforehand to arrange an escort on the airfield.
Andreas Airfield has two runways.
Visitors must consider these to be active at all times. Visitors must check no aircraft are moving, or on landing approach before entering any runway. Vehicles moving on the airfield must use harzard warning lights at all times. Headlights are recommended before moving on a runway. Vehicles should be parked at the locations marked with a red circle on the diagram.
Andreas Airfield is located on the northern plain of the Isle of Man - N54°22' W004°24.5'
Visitors by air are welcome, although prior permission by telephone is required. The Association of Manx Pilots have more information on their website. Direct VHF contact with Ronaldsway is not normally possible from the vicinity of Andreas, and Andreas does not have permanent radio facilities.
When gliding operations are in progress, "Andreas Base" on 130.105 will normally be available to provide current situation details. It is especially important to be aware of the winch cable on the active runway.
Pilots should be aware that non-radio traffic occasionally operates from Andreas. As we can not offer an official control service all operations are at the pilot's discretion.
Aircraft visiting from the UK should be aware of the Isle of Man Constabulary Anti Terrorism & Crime Act 2003. Pilots of all general aviation aircraft must report details of their flights to the Isle of Man Constabulary Port Unit. More details can be found on the website for the Isle of Man Airport.
